We Wish All Fathers a Happy Father's Day!

posted on

Tires & Auto Repair in St. Louis, MOThe 21st of June is right around the corner, and that, of course, is Father’s Day. From all of us at Master Auto Repair, we’d like to wish all the dads out there a great day. Dads work hard for their families, and we’d like to suggest a few fun things to do around St. Louis to make Dad’s day special and memorable:

  • All American 5K and Fun Run – If Dad is the athletic type, the All American Fun Run goes from downtown Kirkwood to Webster Groves, starting at 7:30 AM. With flat terrain and several downhill grades, it’s a great chance to set a personal record! There’s also a one-mile Fun Run (starting in Webster Groves), live music, food and refreshments and prize money for overall 5K winners. What could be more all-American than that?
  • My Fair Lady at the Muny – Enjoy the timeless musical “My Fair Lady” at the Muny, with unforgettable Broadway show tunes like “I Could have Danced All Night,” “The Rain in Spain” and “On The Street Where You Live.” This Lerner and Loewe tale will open the Muny’s 97th summer season.
  • BBQ and Concert at Mount Pleasant – It’s a short drive to the Mount Pleasant Winery in Augusta, where you can enjoy pulled pork, chicken, cole slaw, potato salad and more from noon to 3 p.m. on Father’s Day. You can stay and relax to music with the Ralph Butler Trio, from 2 to 5 p.m. – cost is $18 for adults and $8 for children.
  • Kimmswick Auto Show – Is Dad a gearhead? The Kimmswick auto show will feature all makes and models of cars, trucks and motorcycles, as well as live music and other family fun. Held on Market Street near City Hall, the auto show is held from noon to 3 p.m.
  • Father’s Day Gateway Arch Riverboat Brunch – Nothing is more iconic and identified with St. Louis more than The Arch, and the whole family can enjoy a two-hour brunch cruise on a 19th century paddlewheel riverboat while enjoying views of the Arch and skyline. The brunch includes live Dixieland music and an extensive buffet. Running from 1 to 3 p.m., the boat will board at 12:30.
  • Busch Stadium Tours – Indulge Dad’s baseball fandom with a tour of the stadium the Cardinals call home. You can hang out in the dugout, imagine yourself as an announcer in the Radio Broadcast Booth and check out all the World Series trophies in the Champions Club. The ticket stub also brings you a discount in the Official Cardinals Team Store!

Regardless of whether you take a road trip for Father’s Day, stay in St Louis or just stay home for a relaxing day off, we at Master Auto Repair wish you and Dad a fun, safe and happy Father’s Day 2015!
